Our larger capacity seed feeder (1.2L) has been designed to keep food drier and minimise waste (from larger birds or scattering), which means you have to fill it up less frequently, less seed is wasted and the area below the feeder is kept cleaner. The feeding port is also less acceptable to greedy, larger birds with questionable table manners, like pigeons! Allowing smaller birds to feed in peace. The feeder doesn’t hang, but instead has a unique flexible multi-fixing system. The one-piece mounting bracket and lid allows the feeder to be fixed to a wall or onto a post, tree or even a drain-pipe! MOUNTING OPTIONS: 1) Velcro Strap (supplied): allows easy, tool-free fixing of the one-piece lid and mounting backet to drain pipes, posts (both round, square and rectangular) and smaller tree trunks (up to 11cm dia). 2) Mounting Bracket: the one-piece lid and mounting bracket can be screwed to walls or wooden surfaces with 2 or 3 screws (min 40mm long, 3.5 to 4mm dia, not supplied). Or use the one screw option to allow the whole feeder to be removed from its position as required for filling and cleaning. The feeder is stylish and easy to keep clean for improved hygiene. 50% of the plastic is from recycled material. The plastic also won’t rust and, unlike wood, it won’t rot or encourage mould and algae. Safe to soak or wash with a suitable detergent or cleaning solution.
